 Lindsay’s Main Specializations

Assessments & Testing

Lindsay has over 10 years of experience completing cognitive assessments/ IQ testing (preschoolers to adult), ADHD assessments, psycho-educational assessments, autism assessments and social/emotional/behavioural assessments.

Lindsay uses interviews, observation, academic achievements, and historical records to understand how your child processes information and learns. The assessment helps determine areas of strength and areas for growth.

Counselling for Children, Teenagers, and Young Adults

Lindsay provides therapy for children, teenagers and young adults who are living with anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), selective mutism, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), behavioural management, emotional regulation and autism. When appropriate, she may also involve parents to allow them to participate in treatment planning and strategy implementation.

Lindsay sees therapy for children and adolescents as an active approach with the goal of providing families with effective practices and strategies to empower them to make improvements at home, while also being supported in session through active approaches such as games, role playing, and playtime, instead of simply having a conversation.

Counselling for Parents

Lindsay finds that when working with young children, the most effective approach is to teach the parents helpful strategies that they can apply with their child on a daily basis. Implementing these strategies at home, along with regular joint sessions with the parent and child can offer positive direction for both the parent and the child. Additionally, Lindsay may provide separate parent coaching sessions that focus on building a stronger parent-child relationship, improving communication, and working together to follow direction and encourage positive interaction.
